    Our Extraordinary People

    Bernie
    Company Owner and Carpenter I love building things for people. It's who I am. At 6 years old I wanted to be a carpenter, in the 8th grade I worked at a hardware store, when I was 29 I started Bower Construction. That means I have been getting myself ready to work at your home for over 50 years. Some guys golf or hunt or watch Nascar, I sharpen my chisels and play in my work shop. Taking care of families is what it is all about. I love my family and I am going to make sure yours is taken care of as well.

    Rick
    I love working and talking with people and probably got that from my mother. I have been working in the home sales and remodeling business for over 20 years and have lived in Tell City my whole life. My goal is to make your remodeling project as seamless and enjoyable as possible. Your home is important to you and is equally important to us.

    Donna
    I manage Bower Kitchen and Baths bookkeeping and its sister company, Tell City Paint and Sundries. BK&B completes 100’s of jobs every year and I make sure every penny is accounted for it, what that means for you is that Bernie and the guys can focus on your job and not be distracted by filling papers. I also discovered over 10 years ago that I liked picking colors and mixing paint. I have mixed thousands of gallons of paint for anything from a simple DIY to entire buildings.

    I've been working at Bower Kitchen and Bath since I was in grade school thanks to Donna (who also happens to be my grandma). I'm now married and in college and Bower Kitchen and Bath is giving me valuable experience to go with my business degree. I mix paint alongside Donna and I've been known to grout a pretty mean backsplash.

    Sonny
    I've known Bernie since we were teenagers and we've been building things together on and off ever since. I spent 32 years working for the state of Indiana but when I retired I told Bernie that I still had some good years left in me and since 2015 I've been remodeling kitchens and bathrooms every day and loving it.

    Charlie
    I've retired twice from large manufacturing companies. Bower Kitchen and Bath keeps me active and out of the house. I help the carpenters keep our mess to a minimum and do all I can to get them finished as quick as possible. Working with this bunch of people is fun.

    Tim
    After retiring from managing an insurance company I was spending my days in my woodworking shop but after a few years I was caught up on projects. At Bower Kitchen and Bath I do everything I can to get things ready for your job precutting, preassembling, prewiring and all kinds of other “pre” stuff. I’m also at the ready when one of the guys calls the shop needing just one more… Basically I’m at work but and still enjoying my woodworking hobby.
